Pros about the VICEROY: Gorgeous bathroom Gorgeous pools CONS: Location is not ideal BEWARE...city side rooms face Brickell ave and it is very loud!! VERY unkid friendly hotel..My 9 year daughter was asked to leave the 50th floor pool area because it was for adults only. (they basically escorted her out of the pool!!) I had to make 3 phone calls to reception and waited over an hour to get some ice!! We waited over 1h30mins for our lunch to come!! deplorable service : I could go on and on and on. This hotel really is not worth the money. It is great to lounge by the pool but definitely not to stat overnight!

Very Nice -- but a little Uneven

This is a very, very nice hotel right in the heart of downtown on Brickell. But, it opened in Feb 2009 and you could see they still have some bugs to work out. Service was great! Did not have my reservation when I arrived but front desk said do not worry and they would take care of it. And they did. Room service was prompt and even sent someone up right away to check wireless modem. Room was very nice but no on-demand TV yet (though had a ton of channels and a nice big flat screen HD tv). Could not get hot water out of sink (which made shaving tough) and took forever for shower hot water to warm up. Had very nice breakfast at restaurant on 15th floor. Only spent one night and arrived late and had to leave early, so did not get to explore rest of hotel. Feels like within a year, this will be a real winner of a hotel. And got a great deal on Travelocity with a packaged flight.
