Our stay was because of a family member having heart surgery. We stayed 5/13/09 through 5/23/09. The staff from the front desk, to the restaurant, and even house cleaning were caring and attentive. They have great pride in their facilities and went out of their way to ensure our stay was an enjoyable one. The amenities were more than we had expected, including an outdoor pool and hot tub, restaurant with a bar, workout room, free internet access in the room, and a business center which had two computers with internet access, a printer, and fax machine. The setting at Deer Lake was beautiful and serene. The decor was very stylish and colorful, well done. I cannot state it enough, the staff here was above any I have ever experienced, consistently inquiring how our family member in the hospital was doing and asking if there was anything they could do for us. The location was convenient to many main thoroughfares and highways which made it easy to get around the city and surrounding areas. The actual business development was amazing as well, with a variety of commerce. Our room itself was clean and stylish and the beds were very comfortable allowing us all to get plenty of restful sleep. There is no doubt, Hotel Indigo will be our first choice if we are ever back in Jacksonville. We highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay here.

We spent an extended weekend at Indigo Jacksonville, pleasantly delighted with friendliness, service and hospitality. The accommodations were well designed and detailed offering a sense of B&B on a larger scale, yet removing the towering hotel appearance and isolation. The quaint village atmosphere welcomed us to relax, take a stroll or dine by the canal - we will definitely return.

The hotel was very convenient for us. The rate was reasonable compared to others I encounter while traveling on business. Our room was quiet and comfortable both day and night. Bed was very comfortable, which is huge to someone who is on the road a lot. Also the shower was great. No complaints. Would definitely stay here again.

While this hotel is quite lovely, it lacks quite a few things. In just one day's stay of 4 we had an uncleaned room, when we placed a room service order we were asked if we were coming down to pick it up and when young adult party revelers were below our window past midnight screaming with drunken delight and we called the main desk to ask what time the pool closed we were told it was open 24/7. I travel several times a month for business and this is the first time I have ever been asked to pick up my own room service. The sign by the pool clearly states that it closes at 10pm. I had paid for a room with a view and the view was loud and noisy well into the wee hours. While the hotel offered to compensate us for a nights stay we had booked with online travel website and were not eligible for that to happen. Most of the staff is kind, but they are not experienced or old enough to know what the true meaning of upscale is and the hotel's webite quotes ""an upscale boutique hotel"". Truth is it is non of those things except good looking. I can choose to spend my hard earned dollars at any establisment and because I am on the road constantly I like to stay at place that appreciates my dollar and shows it.
