I have recently stayed for 5 nights at the Limelight Lodge...this is a first experience for me in this property....I have been staying at 4 and 5 star properties in Aspen for the last 20 years.....The Limelight exceeded all my expectations.....the rooms are large and well-appointed, the staff is friendly (though not in regimented uniform as in other high-end properties). There is an included continental breakfast served and apres-ski wine and cheese in the evening..........Our suggestion is to have an available hotel provided ski-shuttle to Aspen Mountain in the am 8:30-10:00 and perhaps from 2:30-4:00 in the afternoon.This property is a delightful and reasonable find and offers most everything expected of high-end properties to an eclectic yet discriminating clientele.

My wife and I stayed at the new Limelight Lodge from 1/28/09 to 2/4/09. The hotel is beautiful and all the staff went out of their way to be sure all guests were very well served. The hotel is on Wagner Park in the center of Aspen. It is quiet and less than a 5 minute walk to any restaurant in Aspen. Convenient parking is under the building for those driving in. An expanded continental breakfast is served from 7-10 a.m. each morning. Wine and cheese are served in the afternoon. A heated pool and 2 hot tubs are open for relaxing and soothing the body after a hard day of skiing. You can walk to the Ajax lifts or take the free skiier shuttle to the other three si mountains. We had been staying at the old Limelite Lodge for 25 years and plan to stay here whenever in Aspen. Compares favorably with hotels costing much more. This hotel has been owned and operated for over 50 years by the same family. Their pride in the property and in serving their guests shows in every detail. Tom - Atlanta, GA

We just stayed at the new Limelight Lodge. They opened early to accomodate our large group of hockey players. Simply put, the Limelight is stunning. A huge lobby with a kitchen greets guests. An elevator takes you directly from underground parking to your room. The Limelight has spared little expense in the amenties. Marble counters, luxurious beds, leather accents, and kitchenettes. Suites have decks and fireplaces. The staff is extremely courteous and went out of their way to provide us with a positive experience, even though they are still under construction. The Limelight is an upscale and wonderful addition to Aspen and we will defintely stay there again!
