  My Granson and I stayed at Townplace Suites by Marriot in Pooler, Savannah in July,2009 after being overbooked by Springhill Suites at I-95 Gateway. What a treat this was for us!! The hotel was beautiful, the rooms new and gorgeous, and the amenties were wonderful! My Grandson, Matthew, who is 9 years old and not easily impressed, entered our room and immediately said "I love this room"!! and I had to agree. The beds were comfortable, the flat screen enjoyable and the Granite in the Kitchen and Bath was lovely. We enjoyed having free access to the Internet in our room and in the Lobby as well. It felt like a home away from home. The Front Desk Staff was friendly and helpful too!! And the proximity to Downtown and River Street was only a short distance away! I would definitelyrecommend Townplace Suites to my Family and Friends and will certainly make it my first choice on any return visits and vacations in Savannah.
