We went to Springfield to attend a wedding. The hotel was in a good location and was easy to get into and out of the parking lot. I had reserved 2 queen sized beds and at first they started to give us a room with only one bed, but corrected it quickly when I asked. The only thing was that I am used to staying where there is a blow dryer and a coffee pot in the room and there wasn't either. I did not take a blow dryer, but one was available at the desk for use. Based on this stay, I would stay at this hotel chain in the future. It was also close to a Super Wal Mart. My husband had forgotten one of his medicines, and we were able to get it transferred and pick it up right down the street. Pretty convenient.

I'd never been to this city and knew nothing of this hotel chain. While the gentleman at the front desk was terrific, the place itself is not a place I'd stay again. I actually needed the cleanest place possible, and was disappointed. The first room I had didn't have a working deadlock, or one of those chains or anything to keep it shut. When I complained the attendant came to see if he could force the door closed. As a female traveling alone, I wanted to be as safe as possible. He did give me a new room, but the only other room available was a smoking room. He said it was a recent remodel but honestly, the wallpaper had to be at least 20 years old, and there was nothing looking any newer than that in the room. (Obviously it smelled of cigarettes.) When I asked about an iron, I was told I had to go get it from the office and bring it back when I was done. There wasn't a hairdryer either. I actually took a washcloth and HOT water and soap and cleaned off every surface I could reach. I washed the countertops, the toilet top(lid of the tank), the toilet lever, the desk, the door knobs and light switches, and almost anything I could reach. I really feel bad saying this just because the front desk help was great, but honestly, I'd stay somewhere else next time.
