Beautiful new hotel, very friendly staff in every aspect. Informative information given by very knowledgible local staff. We requested an early check in, 4 hours to be exact with a request to have 2 rooms next to each other no problem. A wedding party/reception took place the same w.e., no issues with congestion with anything. Our trip was over the 4th of July holiday, full staff. Hotel was spotless, great bedding, nice gym and a indoor pool with friendly lifeguard. Restaurant food was above average, a little pricey but worth it. The Alexandria location is very nice, sleeper like. Lots to do, restaurants, shopping history and the metro is literally a 10 min safe walk away. Rooms are traditional in size, a little small. Flat screen TV is large, however cable system is slow without a searching system. A very small tech. issue that I think will be corrected. Parkng is about 25 per day, what you would expect in a tourist city. If you can, do not drive, use the Metro public trans. system less than $10 a day and will take you to all of the locations in DC, monuments, mall, zoo, Georgetown etc. The hotel as a whole is very upscale and designed nicely, bathroom is very nice with a wonderful dual shower. No venting however?! Meeting every night in the lobby, we were too busy, looked like it was informative. Small hotel store, we didn't use.

If you are looking for luxury, this is your place! The hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were very plush, immaculate. The shower was hard to leave. The mattress was so comfortable. I slept in for the first time in a very long time. The surrounding area was historical and lively, lots going on right around the corner. Close to public transportation also. I will plan my next trip to include staying again.

My wife and I have been traveling for pleasure almost once a month for the last year. We have stayed in over a dozen hotels from different chains; some were 4 stars and we have never stayed in any with less than 2 stars. My wife and I found the Westin in Alexandria to have exceeded out expectations; from the person at the curb meeting us, to all the details you expect in a 5 star hotel, except they exceeded way beyond. The desk person was incredible in making us feel welcome, the restaurant staff were delightfull. The room giving to us was perfect in every way; the bathroon and shower were incredible; and the bed was a dream. We stayed in the Club floor, and to our surprised, the continental breakfast that was included in the stayed, was the best we have ever experienced; the ladies taking care the club room went out of their way to make us confortable. We recommend this hotel to everyone; and you don't have to be rich, to stay there. What can I say; we will be staying in that Westin everytime we travel to the DC area!
