We travel with a troop of 16 every May, and I was blowed away by the outside....But the inside was even better! The front desk clerks were all very professional-and not like they use to be....I was very impressed by their presentation and check in process was very smooth...breakfast was awesome too...the choices were great! Our troop was able to enjoy the neighboring pool! The concierge was awesome...We will be back in thefall to do their Paula Deen Package, and more touring. If you had doubts about this hotel-please don't second guess! Stay with the Best-Best Western Promenade Hotel that is!

My wife and I recently traveled to Savannah for a long weekend and we were amazed by this hotel. I have never really had a good experience with Best Western, but we decided to try it out based on the location and incredible rate. I am now a believer in Best Western. The staff at this hotel really does treat everyone like they are special.

I decided to take a mini vacation at the end of January and stayed here for what I thought would be one night. Once I walked in and was greeted by an extremely friendly staff and saw the room, I decided to stay a few days and see what the city had to offer. This is by far the best stay I have ever had. I was leery of the exterior corridors, but felt extremely safe once I realized how well patrolled and how much lighting there was. Then I walked into the room and noticed there were TWO latches to secure the door. The pillowtop mattress was so comfortable that I had NO problem getting to sleep. I was surprised at how inexpensive it was for the amenities provided. Free continental breakfast in the morning and the free wifi in the room were greatly appreciated and i took advantage of both. The bathrooms are immaculate and I was told they put about $35,000 worth of rennovations into each room. Breakfast was nice and cozy in the lobby and I was asked if I needed anything else by X. While I was eating, the Concierge, X, asked me if I had plans for the day yet. She told me she could have a trolley come by and pick me up at the front door and she would help me map out my day. Talk about top notch service! Everyone was so helpful and made me feel like I was at home. No wonder Savannah is called ""the Hostess City of the South,"" they are so friendly and always have a smile on their face. I will definitely come back and spend more time in Savannah, only if I can stay here!!!!!

This hotel is in the middle of being remodeled. While the outside looks old and a little run down, the inside of our newly renovated room was very nice and clean. Tile bathroom, marble top sink, new bedding, etc. However, we received a phone call at 10:00 Saturday morning saying they had sprung a leak, and the water would be turned off at 10:45. We did not have running water again until 6:00 that night. While we understood things happen during renovation, it was the way it was handled by hotel staff. No offers were made to accomodate us. The girl at the front desk was really rude. We finally spoke to the manager, who offered us a non-renovated room that had water, just to get ready in. I walked into that room, and it smelled really badly of smoke. Also the bathroom was FILTHY, so we turned right around and went out. Also the parking is kind of a problem. Only one parking pass per room, but I wasn't sure why because they had 10 or 12 empty spaces out back. Overall, the room itself was good, location great, but service was awful.
