The hotel was very nice and extremely close to FSU. The hot cooked breakfast in the morning was pretty decent. It lasts until 10 a.m. on weekend mornings, but try to avoid getting there at 9:30 or later because there is quite a crowd and food selection gets to be a little slim. The kitchen and living room in the room is definitely a plus if you have children. Silverware provided wasn't entirely clean so we ran the dishes and silverware in the dishwasher upon arrival. Dishwasher soap is provided, along with coffee, tea and popcorn. The kitchen does have a microwave and cooktop, full refrigerator, cupboards with utensils, pans, dishes, etc. The mattress on the pull-out sofa sleeper is only good for very small children who don't weigh a lot. You can definitely feel the springs in the mattress if you're the size of an adult. Regular beds are fine though. Fairly close on Apalachee Drive is Walmart, Target, KMart, Grocery Stores, a mall, Toys R US and lots of other shopping, as well as a host of restaurants. Since we have a child at FSU, we will definitely stay here again on future visits.

This Hotel is the perfect location for families traveling to Florida State University and want to be as close as possible to the campus. It is great for families because of the amenities, daily breakfast, evening reception and spacious suite style rooms. On game day when parking is at a minimum, you could walk the short distance to the stadium. The staff was friendly and the property and rooms were immaculate.

Previously, we've stayed at and hosted events in various Marriott brand hotels. We've always been pleased with the hotels. This was no exception! We were very happy with the rooms and the hotel. The staff was exceptional and quickly answered our questions. We only had one inconvenience during the stay and that was trying to get ice for our room. Even though each room has a full size refrigerator, there are no ice trays or ice machines. We had to take a bowl to the front desk. We were given a bowl of ice, but the ice had been sitting in a Styrofoam cooler. After we put the bowl in the freezer, the ice froze into a a solid block.

The room was spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. The full refrigerator and kitchen utensils were usefull. We found our room, the public areas and the grounds clean and well kept. The location was great, we were able to walk to activities at FAMU & the civic center and it would also be convenient to FSU. The full hot breakfast every morning was nice. I plan on staying here again on my next trip to Tallahassee.
