  I think this is motel is a hidden lake placid treasure. If your looking for a budget friendly , old fashioned family owned inn, try this place. We loved the quiet location, real wood burning fireplace, great veiws, very convienant to down town with easy parking. We love staying where it is real and not a prefabricated impersonal hotel The decor is dated, but clean and comfortable. The inn keeper was great! Returned from a long day skiing to find our fireplace cleaned and reset ready to go with a single match. 2 overstuffed chairs to sit back, relax and enjoy the fire. This place represents the orginal personality of Lake Placid , before the 1980 Olymic development. There is an outdoor pool for summer travlers, don't know anything about it, as it was always covered in snow.
