This was a nice hotel, well lighted, clean and friendly. I appreciated the morning coffee availability and the afternoon wine hour. The lobby was a bit small but ok. I would consider staying there again since it was nicely air conditioned and quiet. The dining was adequate with the breakfast being very overpriced and service on the slow side. I only ate there twice since there are so many close and much better places to eat.

Very nice stay here. I really like Kimpton Hotels and this was another good experience. Also, if you're planning a stay in DC to see the sights, I recommend this area (Dupont Circle) as it's a great neighborhood (restaurants, grocery, shops and away from all things touristy) and the Metro is a couple of blocks away which will take you to the thick of it.

Family of four stayed the first week of August 2009. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and would strongly recommend this hotel. The room we stayed in was very spacious, with comfortable queen sized beds. We really enjoyed the complimentary 5-6 wine and crackers, and the 8-9AM coffee. A very nice touch. The pool was very nice. The hotel restaurant (Urbana) was a bit overpriced for the value. There are a number of nice restaurants close to the hotel and a Starbucks on every corner. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was great. Easy access to the Metro, and a nice walk to the White House and the Capitol. We used the Hop-on-Hop-off tour bus. This is a great means to tour the area and identify areas to explore. Highly recommend using this bus service. Would definitely stay again.

Family of four stayed in late July 2009. Room was very nice. Beds comfortable. No vent in bathroom and electric outlet did not workin bathroom. Bought a plug adapter at the local CVS to give us more outlets. This cellphone/ipod age is all about having juice to re-charge batteries. Pool area was nice also. Staff polite as well. Easy access (a couple blocks) to DC Metro Dupont Station. Love the Metro Rail. The only way to get around in DC. Buy a facecard in the kiosk and grab a map and you are off. Used the redline mostly to get back and forth but also grabbed the blue line to get to Arlington Cemetery. Simple and easy. Union Station is great as there are plenty of stores and a great food-court. Never waited longer than 7 minutes for a train. It does get cfrowded though especially during rush hour, as you'd expect. Would recommend Hotel Palomar to anyone wanting to visit DC. Thanks for reading!
