WHen we checked in, there was an older man behind the checkin desk wearing a t-shirt, dirty shorts, and slippers. Wearing a uniform...or at least casual clothes would have made a better impression on me. WHen we got to the room it was very musty-smelling and the floor felt damp. My in-laws bed had dirty, smelly sheets. The Pillows were flat and there were no extra ones. The closet is a rack hanging on the wall. The shampoo and soap were samples that you would receive in the mail. Did I mention the musty smell yet??? THis was an overall terrible place and I would not reccommend it to anyone. I think I paid wayyyyy toooo much for this hotel. I think with the quality of this hotel, they should pay you to stay in it.

From the moment we walked into this place I was scared. All the doors were open so anyone walking by had full access to all levels of the this roach motel. The elevator was a joke, we had to seperate into groups of two to ride the thing! The owner was rude, and would watch us on his camera and then come out in the hall when we were getting back to our rooms and he would just stare. It was supposed to be a girls night out but we ended up feeling so unsafe that we called our boyfriends and husbands to come down. They completely lied about the ammenities, the only thing they have is the breakfast and I wouldnt eat that if my life depended on it.

I am a business person who came down here for work twice. Both times my rooms were very spacious and clean. Excellent value. The staff was exceptionally helpful and assisted me with last minute booking. The hotel is close to downtown and many good restaurants. They were doing some renovation work on some of the rooms, but it was only during the day and I wasn't bothered by it at all. My rooms had excellent accomodations! I will definately be staying there in the future.

My husband and I booked this hotel, pretty inexpensive, but still expect some descent service. When we went to check in they had mixed up the days of our stay (we booked through travel website), how I have no idea because the print out was pretty clear. This was during Valentines weekend so we knew that we wouldn't be able to find anything at the last minute. We had dinner reservations and no time to look. They did call another hotel in Point Loma and they told us to go there and apologized for the inconvenience. It was inconvenient though. We had to take a taxi from the hotel to Gaslamp...$20.00 each way. They were nice, I have to admit...but not a good first impression at all. The other hotel that they sent us to was alright, but nothing to write home about. It had a bed and a roof. Can I also mention the smell in the lobby? Not good for business. I wouldn't try booking here again or would recommend it to anyone.

01/22/2009It was a terrible experience with rude staff, dirty linens, and intensely sickening smell. luckily we only booked for one night, and will report the place to the bbb.
