Nice property, but some issues...

Our room was on the 1st floor in an area separate from the "tower". So, the exit from the building was right in front of or room door. My wife couldn't sleep the 1st night because all you heard was that door slamming and opening from all the foot traffic (only a stairwell to get to rooms in that section of the building). Also, there was a 1-2" gap at the bottom of our room door, so we found several bugs in the room in that first night. The staff was very accomodating (took several hours to make the switch) and moved us to another room for our 2nd night, in the main tower on the same floor where the complimentary breakfast was served. MUCH more convenient with none of the other noise or critter issues. However, the HBO channel had no picture on the TV. Also, the hotel info book in the room listed breakfast as lasting until 10:30am on Sunday, but it actually ended at 10:00am. So when I got there at 10:15, they were shutting down breakfast. One of the staff members doing breakfast was VERY nice and helpful and went back into the kitchen area to bring me out some things. Apparently, I wasn't the only person to point out the discrepancy. The other staff member proceeded to tell me how it was listed as 10am on the calendar in the room (What calendar?!? - later saw it on the fridge, small lettering at the bottom) and that it had been policy since June 1 (OK - but I have never been her before - what do i care about June 1?; it's July 25). Sounds bad - but I would stay there again on a special b/c of kitchen and location. Friendly staff too

The morning hot breakfast is very good. Fresh food and friendly staff. Weekdays they serve a light buffet dinner with a very gregarious and cheerful bartender. Free wine and beer! The food served cant really be called a proper dinner, but food was high quality and fresh...movies on thurs night!
