  My parents, 2 sisters and their families, my brother and his family and myself and my family were caravanning to Florida for beach, sun and fun. We made the mistake of stopping in Savannah for a layover for the night. This was the only DIM spot in an otherwise wonderful family vacation. The front desk staff was downright rude and unfriendly. Talk about ""Southern Hospitality""- not only were we not greeted upon registering, the staff acted as if they were doing us a favor by taking our money. After dinner, the kids wanted to go swimming in the pool and we called the front desk for extra towels and was told there were no extra towels- no swimming for the kids. The rooms were dirty- there was mold on the walls and bed bugs on the sheets and the tubs looked as if they had just been rinsed out. My sister and her family of four had no towels at all and the front desk staff brought towels later that evening- where from I don't know, since they had no extra towels on the premises. The only bright spot was dinner. They have a Perkins on the premises and after a rocky start during check in and driving for several hours with grumpy kids, our server and the other staff were personable, friendly and very patient with 13 people who were feeling more than a little grumpy by this time. We had not wait time. The food was hot and the price was right and the server got our order right the first time. Even though the Perkin's staff was wonderful, I would not stay at this Quality Inn again- EVER and may steer clear of any other Quality Inn in the future.
