We spent 4 nights. The room was clean and well kept as usual. I wished ther were 2 queen sized beds in a standard room for more than 2 people...full sized is too small. The beds were hard. Staff was pleasant and overall the stay went well. The Red Roof Inn is a nice hotel witha reasonable price.

After reading the many poor reviews of this Red Roof Inn in Lancaster, I decided against my best judgment to stay here anyway (slightly better prices than elsewhere nearby). I was very disappointed. The hotel never received my reservation through online and I had to wait for over an hour while the manager made phone calls. I ultimately had to pay for another room out of pocket and request a refund online myself The room I received was dark, noisy, and worst of all, the bed linens were DIRTY! Hard to believe, but true.

Poor Experience

I've stayed at the Red Roof Inn's before and this one is NOT of the same quality. Charged an extra $* for additional pet which was charged without authorization. No notice of additional charge was given on check in or by any material at the desk. Pets were declared on reservation, on the telephone when I added additional night and on check in. This charge was refunded via Corporate Red Roof. Room was not cleaned on two of four nights stay. Garbage was not removed when room was cleaned on one of the nights. Room needs remodeling and carpeting needs cleaning attention. When a friend went to the room that she was given she found the door open and a large fan drying out the carpet from an air conditioner leak. She was given a different room. The most negative experience was being yelled at by the manager at the front desk. I was surprised and taken aback by the behavior. Service Excellence is not practiced at this Red Roof.

We were vacationing with family, so we had two rooms. We were initially impressed with the style or the rooms cleanliness and pool. There was one very rude desk clerk that we heard others comment on as well. The other staff were pleasant if not outright friendly. On two of our three mornings there we were startled awake around 6AM by the fire alarm...not something you EVER want to hear. The alarm went off after a minute or less....no one came to the hall or called with explanation. We were not sure what to do at this point. We thought that maybe a pranking child pulled it.....then after the SECOND rude awakening we asked and were told the waffle maker was smoking and setting it off. I feel the staff should have taken care of the issue the first day and not had a repeat....also no appologies we given for the disruption. also- we had two different laptops and couldn't keep connection on their wireless network- very aggrivating since we chose this hotel b/c it offered access.
