    I limited my search on online travel website to pet-friendly motels because we were bringing two dogs. When I checked in, the woman at the front desk said it was a non-smoking, no pets room. I said we had two dogs. Her reply: "We do not allow pets here, but we allow pets on-line." I repeated that back to her and asked what she meant. She pointed to a sign in the office that said"No pets allowed"; and said they do not allow pets, but they say they allow pets in their on-line listing - then demanded $20 as a pet fee. I said that there was no mention of this in my reservation, asked her to show me, on my reservation print-out, where it said there would be a charge. She said she didn't care what it said and told me we had to pay $20 more to stay there with our dogs. Just unbelievable. It was late, I didn't want to have to find another motel, so I gave up and paid the $20. The first "non-smoking room" they offered me stank of cigarettes. A second room smelled even worse. Finally, she found us a room that didn't stink. None of the rooms actually have permanent signs to say that they are non-smoking - there's just a card on the dresser, hard to even notice, that says not to smoke. Obviously people smoke anyway. I don't think I have ever been treated so rudely at a hotel or motel. For the extra $20, we could have stayed somewhere better!

    They claimed not to have my reservation and didn't believe printed confirmation. Then tried to force me to pay claiming only online travel website do you prepay. Very rude staff, would not allow me to use their phone to call our online travel website so had to use cell. Get rid of the staff and may be ok.

    The people who run this place are very nice. That is the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel. The room was dingy and had a musty smell that never went away. The ""air conditioner"" was a fan screwed to the wall. The shower had no temperature control- any time someone else in a different room turned on their water our temp changed. The shower was creepy with cracked tiles and mold on the caulking. The pool looks like a perfect breeding ground for west nile virus. The hotel is in a scary part of town. I would not stay here again.
