I was pleasantly suprised to find the accomodations very nice. Not only were the font desk employees were very helpful, so were the bellmen, and cleaning service. Everyone was very happy to help and provide information. The rooms were clean and updated. The pool and excercise room were just ok. Location is wonderful and the shuttle service is a plus. I also enjoyed having the sandwich and coffee shops in the lobby. Being there for a week I took advantage of all the benefits! I would definately stay there again!

The room we stayed in itself was decent. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the sheets and towels were clean. I can not say the same for the shower. It was old, in need of re-tiling, and the shower head was moldy. The hallway outside our room reeked of stale food. The offensive odor never dissipated during our stay. The elevators were agonizingly slow and the staircase was dimly lit, dirty and dank. The pool area was extremely small and poorly maintained. There were many offerings at the free breakfast. The donuts were stale and tasteless. The biscuits and gravy were inedible. The rest was ok.

The property is conviently located for Mayo patients. The female desk clerk was very curt, they had a problem with the room keys, apparently a lock was changed and the keys the desk were cutting did not work. The clerk kept looking at me like I was too stupid to know how to use a key. After 20 minutes, 2 trips down to the desk, a visit from the maintenance man (who was very nice), a visit from they concluded no one, not even maintenance could access the room they assigned us and had to put us in another room. Problems happen, however, the female clerk obviously didn't want to be there, didn't care about us and overall needed her attitude adjusted. I inquired about a discount, her reply was I booked with travel on line there was no further explanation. The room was unexpectedly nice, clean and adequate for our short stay.

This place is close to the clinic, or we would have left when we got to the room. When we arrived, one of the elevators was broken, there was only one person at check-in and a huge line, and not nearly enough parking. The capper was arriving too tired to deal with these issues especially since I was travelling with a sick husband, and then turning the covers back only to find a BLOOD STAIN on the coverlet. The appliances are old and noisy. There aren't even ice machines on all the floors. The pool is VERY small and the 'spa/whirlpool' is the size of a two person tub - I'm not kidding!! The 'continental breakfast' is horrible. Service is terrible. And we never did get a replacement cover for the bed!! I would not recommend this place. EVER.

We've stayed here nearly a dozen times during trips to the Mayo Clinic. The people here know how to manage things for people who are here for medical procedures. They are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The wireless internet is free and utterly reliable. And, the restaurant is surprisingly good. We stay here every time.
