Very good value hotel. Although it is on a busy road we had no problem to sleep. Our room was very large, clean and even had a safe. 3 mn drive to King's street which is worth seeing with its great stores and restaurants. Just over 10 mn walk to the metro station if you do not want to use your car to go to DC. Recommended.

  • Do not stay here if you want to stay married!

This motel is next to boarded up buildings and in an area where I did not feel safe. Checked in and saw the room with dirty walls, a gross bathroom and dust bunnies dangling from the textured celing. The manager refused to give a refund because he already ran our credit card - Huh? Whatever! Decided to rough it out and at around 1 am I spotted a cricket coming in and out through a whole in the outside wall, next came a spider and finally a millipede I think;. Long story short my husband finally demanded a different room without a critter entrance. Next room was not as bad or as dirty but I still would not take my shoes off! Oh and on a personal note - I am still not talking to my husband for reserving this place without doing any research first.

When one of the amenities is ""exterior corridors"" there isn't much you should expect. But for what we needed - a place to stay - it was fine. I thought the room was fine - comfortable and not noisy at all. The bathroom was too small but the water temp and pressure was good. We had a parking space even after getting there around 1 in the morning. The staff was courteous and very helpful. It was a short walk to the train station (Braddock Street) and spent most of our time sightseeing, so we weren't there much. So if you're not going to use all the great stuff another hotel might provide, why pay for it?

When one of the amenities is ""exterior corridors"" there is only so much you can expect. We had two beds and a TV. The bathroom was a bit small, but the water temp and pressure in the shower was fine. The staff was courteous and informative. It was a short walk to the Metro (Braddock Street) and ultimately, the price was right (less than $100/night). Since we went sightseeing pretty much all day, we weren't there all that much. I stayed here with my family and would do so again.

  • Not a good choice

One of the cheapest in the area but not really worth it for saving a few bucks. Not very clean. Very noisy at night. Not enough parking space, need to park on the street. Room size is okay, but not very clean. Quite noisy at night (cars, buses, doors, plumbing...). Complimentary breakfast was a joke: coffee was bad; cereal provided but no milk; only one types of donuts and no bread, no toast, and nothing else. Room service was bad. Did not get toilet paper, tissue paper, and complimentary coffee replacement until you ask the front desk. Housekeepers smoked in our non-smoking room. Good things: very close to King Street; very close to Traders Joe; free internet access; free microwave and refrigerator, across from a gas station; quick drive to DC. If budget is a matter or just stay there for 1 or 2 nights, it is not a bad choice. Otherwise, look around.
