Good Hotel, Terrible Service

Due to my work I have many overnight trips to Florida and usually stay at Hilton. This Hotel is in perfect location to my clients, I used to stay here 1 night every 2 to 3 weeks year round. I am a gold HH member and a returning guest. I can truthfully tell you that even in the cheap no star motel I was never treated so poorly as in this Hilton by front desk stuff including front desk management. There was never a time when I could register without problems. I request early check in when I make registration - room is never available. I request lake view - not available, few times they told me that they were overbooked and had no room for me at all even with pre-paid reservation, where I had to call 1800 number and get reservation and management on the phone to resolve the issue. Last time I could not get to the hotel to check in before 6 pm, when I got there, I was told that they canceled my reservation because I was not there by 3 pm. Never, not once, did anyone apologize for their terrible service. I have complained to Hilton Honors, to Hilton Customer Service - nothing changes. So after being poorly treated for 2 years I am no longer using this Hotel and do not intend to use any hotels of Hilton chain in the future.

We stayed in this hotel when we were in town for a funeral. We had some neighbors who were a little rowdy (bachelor party, I think), and the hotel staff changed our room without any problem. The hotel was very nice - pretty, with a gorgeous pool - and breakfast was abundant with many choices. The hotel was a little pricey, but included breakfast, and we enjoyed our stay. The location is great, just off the turnpike. Also, there's a great sushi restaurant within walking distance.

Our stay was perfect from beginning to end. Staff was professional, service could not have been better with clean, quiet, spacious rooms and a feast for breakfast and all for a super price. We felt safe and secure in and outside the hotel areas. We would highly recommend this hotel and we intend to return there from now on in.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the staff and customer service. The reservations staff lead me to believe that in-room internet was complimenterary. It is not. I provided tax-exempt documentation at check-in which was reflected properly on my bill. I was not provided proper instruction to request a late check-out. A significant portion of the parking lot is designated as valet parking for Pete's resteraunt. Pete's resteraunt is boarded up and closed. The maid did not provide me with fresh linens when I requested them.
The complimenterary breakfast was very good. Room service was lacking. The directions in the hotel directory instruct you to call an outside phone number which costs extra money if you use the room phone. I ordered two hamburgers with fries and iced tea. My pre-tip charge was $49.74. They tased decsent but no were near worth $25.00.
The fitness room's equipment is dated and rusty.
If you have the time and the willingness to insist on proper service, I think you would get it. I had neither. Customer service is very important to me and if it is to you as well, proceed with caution.
All said and done the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Those are the two most important things to me. For those two reason I would return to this hotel, but would just expect the customer service I got. -

This hotel was very accomodating. The staff went out of their way to shuttle us around to business meetings, etc. Free breakfasts and free happy hour were great ways to start / end the day.
