We stayed at the Omni Shorham the weekend of Nov. 6-8th and were very pleased with our stay. The check in was efficient and the room ( with two very comfortable queen beds) was very large and even had a walk-in closet. We had dinner on Friday night in the hotel at Roberts restaurant and had a delicious dinner. We had several questions for the Concierge who was knowledgeable and of great assistance to us. Because I am an Omni Select Guest, we had wonderful, rich hot chocolate and a newspaper of our choice delivered to our room each morning. My sister used the fitness center and found it satisfied her needs. All in all, we were very pleased and would return to the Shorham when we come back to DC.

I have never been compelled to write a review in all my years as a guest at a hotel. While hotel stays at 4-5* properties may never quite live up to their billing, they are usually more than pleasant. A weekend stay at this hotel was the worst hotel stay I've ever experienced. The staff was unresponsive, didn't keep to their committments, and treated us poorly. I think there are many nice, high quality hotels in the greater DC area, and this is not one of them.

This is a beautiful historic property in a great setting. The staff is very customer service oriented and we had the most pleasurable stay. It is a 75 year old hotel, and the bathroom wasn't the best, but the great location and service made up for it.

Room was large, very clean, comfortable bed with down comforters, nice toiletries provided, safe to lock up valuables, refridge. Join the Omni Select Guest and get free beverage service and newspaper at your door at the time you request. We had the Bed and Breakfast and enjoyed the buffet every morning which normally cost $ ea. Safe neighborhood Metro 1 block away and wonderful restaurants close

Will definitely stay here again! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed four nights in two rooms that were nicer than expected. We did not eat or drink at the hotel facilities, but they looked very inviting. The location has a beautiful park setting literally just 100 yards to the Woodley Park Metro Station. From this station you can be downtown in about 10 minutes. There are plenty of restaurants across the street from the hotel also. We ate Chinese, Italian, Mediterranean and McDonalds! About a 10 minute walk to the National Zoo. We have stayed in the downtown area before, but the Omni will be our first choice on future visits.
