Front desk staff friendly, housekeeping was just fine. We stayed 5 nights. We recognized that our A/C system was shutting off completely, independently- even though we had it set at 72, the room temp upon waking was 75. We heard one other guest make a similar complaint. The guy from engineering was condescending and actually tried to have us believe that the temp 75 was not that of "our room" but the current temp outside (manager even shocked about that one). We did learn later from a Marriott manager at another facility that the a/c's actually shut off when it detects no movement in the room (who would walk around in their sleep?). It is supposed to detect that we are "there" sleeping though. Also room had a small kitchen (nice addition) but smelled like there was old water leakage into the carpeting from the kitchen or something (musty smell). Hotel entrance accessible by only one direction, unless you do an illegal U-turn, or taking a diversion through a small corporate complex next door. Remote/marginal area of town, but a great buy for what we paid. Just wish we weren't waking up drenched in sweat each morning. Oh, fitness center was basically a closet with about 4 machines. Bed was very comfy though!

My husband and I were looking for a hotel that was convenient to the airport as we just got back from a cruise. I had stayed in this hotel in the past and it was nice then, but they have updated it since we were here. Nicer rooms, and the lobby has been updated with a contemporary look. The staff take you on a mini tour of the hotel showing you the fitness area, laundry room, wall map of place to go/things to do. This hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from the beach, and 10 minutes from Sunrise Mall (huge outlet mall). So it is convenient to everything within driving distance. The only downside is not within walking distance of anything as it is near a office district, but again 2- 5 minutes drive you can be at the movies, etc.. Really nice hotel for the money, and marriott beds are comfortable.

Let me start by saying the staff is very friendly. This is an extended-stay hotel, so keep that in mind. They have a small kitchen w/stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator. They don't do a full "hotel cleaning" every day. However, they make the bed, change towels, usually bring more coffee/salt/dishsoap daily. I felt cleaning was more than acceptable. The room itself wasn't special by any means: 20"TV w/HBO & cable, chair/sofa, and a combination dinner table/office desk. The BED, though, was great! Slept like a rock--which is also a "thumbs up" to the other guests & the building itself. I've stayed at places for more money, where you hear people in the next room or in the hallway--but not here. Wireless internet worked well too. My first impression of the room was "well, I'm here alone--who cares." But I wouldn't have been happy if my family were there with me, and I didn't feel it was a 3star. Weight room was 4 bike/treadmills, small & musty. Pool was fine for lounging in, but needed to be skimmed the 2 days I used it. I was there for a LONG time. It was too small for more than 1.5 weeks. Upon further understanding of the suburbs, I was told it's not a GREAT area--but I never heard or saw anything that would have lead me to think that. Overall, I'd say it's good for business travellers and/or people on a budget. Other people I met were staying at extended stays for about $20/day more than me, who were basically in apartments (Shamrock?). I was envious, but happy to know I got a good deal for the money. So, I give it a "good for the money" review. No complaints, but (other than friendly staff) no raves either.

The front desk was very courteous and prompt with service. The maids may need a lesson on how to clean a room. The bathroom (toilet and shower) were not cleaned during my stay. They changed towels and took out trash. The rooms were clean and came at a good deal.
