    We are very particular about the hotels we stay in. For the value, this one met our standards for friendlyness by staff, overall maintanance and condition of the hotel, and the breakfast served. They even had an evening reception for guests, and fresh cookies in the lobby. The only downside was, of the three days we stayed, Sunday morning they ran out of some breakfast items within the first hour.

    I have actually stayed at this hotel before, and it just keeps getting better. My first time was during the renovation. I will just leave that at ""No comment."" But, since then, I've stayed twice with the most recent visit being last week. The breakfast is one of the best continental breakfasts I've had at a hotel. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of pillows. The internet is wireless and free, and worked very well for me. Everything is just fresh, clean, and inviting. The shuttle service was superb as well. It's everything you need in a hotel when visiting Kansas City. Like I said, I've stayed here twice SINCE the renovation and have had no issues. Price, quality, and comfort have been excellent.

    Under renovations. Had drywall dust and spackle all over room. Had maid service twice and didn't vacuum or dust! Toilet did not flush right. Had no trash cans-asked for one and never got it. Air conditioner smelled like burnt hair. Left our pillows in room. Called 4 hrs after checkout and our pillows ""disappeared"".

    I visited this hotel on Friday September 28th, 2007. I had a $*
    coupon from the travel guide that I found at McDonalds. Of Course, they
    said that it was no good at my check in. They then completed the bait
    and switch by charging me $*for a single night. They then
    proceeded to add on a Missouri "tax" of 17% ($*). I paid what they
    requested. The room was nothing special, just a typical non-smoking
    with a King bed. I settled in and booted up my laptop, tried to access
    the wireless network and was asked for a username and login. I called
    the front desk and was told that I had to come down to the front desk
    in order to get the username and password. I asked the front desk
    person to just read it to me over the phone and was told that per her
    manager, this was not allowed. After some more questionning, the front
    desk person agreed to bring me password/user name to my room. After
    waiting 15 minutes with no username/password. I went down to the front
    desk and got my username/password. When I talked to the manager and
    suggested that they either put the username/password on the bill that
    they gave me, or at least allow me to retrieve it via calling the front
    desk, I was told that they don't know who will be accessing the
    internet. Hotels are supposed to make things easier for the business
    traveler, not more difficult.
