A 'Pillow Menu' was on the night stand for one to 'order' a pillow of choice. We called the front desk and were informed they do not have pillows to choose from at this time. We turned the pages of the hotel guest service binder and noticed there was a shuttle to the Sports complex for the Chiefs game. We stopped by the front desk and were informed that the shuttle was no longer being offered and had been discontinued last year. Even though we were disappointed with the pillows and the shuttle, the front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. As for the room itself, it was okay. If you like a very firm bed, then this is the place for you. The housekeeping could have done a little better. Ice bucket had not been emptied before we got there and no replacement packets of coffee in the room. Also, to use the coffee maker in the room, we had to set the tray and maker on the floor as there was no outlet near by to plug it in. We stayed at this hotel for the proximity to the Plaza and Westport. Both are withing walking distance as are a couple museums. We would not stay again because the beds were just too firm for our liking.

The hotel was in a good location. It's within walking distance to Country Club Plaza with lots of restaurants. The room was good with free HBO. The hotel pool was more than ample. I was suprised that the hotel did not offer a free continental breakfast. There was a cafe in the hotel, but the prices for a simple breakfast were on the high side. Parking was difficult on Saturday night. There were no places left in the underground garage. I ended up getting a parking spot at grade level on the perimeter of the hotel.

I am a business traveler and stay at many hotels. This hotel is centrally located with clean rooms, courteous staff, and hot showers. The breakfast was good in the restaurant. I met clients for drinks in the hotel bar before going to the Plaza for dinner. I could have used the free shuttle to the Plaza but my clients drove me instead. I will stay here again!

The hotel was perfect for our needs. The purpose of the trip was to visit a few sites in the Plaza--UMKC area and the hotel put us within a few blocks of the sites. The hotel staff was courteous, the room was clean, breakfasts were good, parking was free and the price was right. A satisfied traveler.

I would not stay at this hotel EVER. The bed was so hard, couldn't sleep the whole time. The staff stinks. The security stinks. My car was broken into, had windows smashed in, everything stolen out of the car. The staff just treated me like I didn't matter and was told this happens all the time!! I was parked right next to the entrance to the elevator!! They didn't offer to do anything or help with anything. I asked about insurance and was told they don't know how it would be handled. I got sick from the resturant food, the salad was rotten and spoiled. The chicken was not cooked through. It was run down and outdated in the hallways. The pool looked nice and clean.
