The staff were wonderful and the room was ok. The hotel is undergoing renovation and they started a little early. my room was close to stairs so i heard the conversations with staff in the early morning but not a problem. there is a pizza place next store that you must try, fantastic.

I feel that for the price I paid I received a good deal , especially considering that the location was convenient. However, what you must remember to factor in is the $ dollars you will be paying a day to park, on top of which is $ a day in taxes. I had to pay $ just for parking! We always recquested a queen bed and either there beds are run on a different scale because of its european feel or what I had was not a queen bed. Also, on the website it said they had a complimentary breakfast, which is one of the reasons I picked this hotel, and the only thing they had to offer was coffee and tea. The staff was kind and helpful and the hotel was in a good distance from public transportation.

A real deal

The concierge/valet greeted us when we were still in the car! Very friendly staff and they sent us to great diining locations.
We first got a rather small room. After one night we asked if we could move to this larger room across the hall and they had no problem. And they did not raise the rate.
The Continental breakfast was very basic.
We were only on the 3rd floor and traffic noise was minimal. I am a light sleeper and I had no problem sleeping.
The hotel is remodeling currently and will soon be the Hotel Vertigo. But I recommend it as long as it remains the York Hotel.
