The room was wonderful. The bed was big and comfortable, and the bedroom separated from the rest of the suite by double doors with curtains. Access to the bathroom was possible from both the bedroom area and the living room area, and both rooms also had a TV. The living room area had a sofa, a large desk, and another comfortable chair that matched the sofa as well as a microwave, refrigerator, and sink. The rooms setup is such that you can hear what's happening in the hallway easily, but it rarely happened. Room service was quick, the person who brought it very nice, and the food okay for room service though nothing to write home about. I flew into BWI but took the metro to Braddock metro and paid a cab $* to get to the h The shuttle goes back and forth to the Reagan National Airport metro stop every half hour until 11pm on the hour and half hour, so if you arrive at the metro station at 40 past the hour you'll have to wait 20-30 minutes. The nearest metro station is actually Braddock, a 10-15 minute easy walk, but it's not safe at night. During the day it's absolutely fine, and the hotel area itself is safe. I had to go into DC every day and it was fine. There's a Giant nearby, some restaurants, and various salons. I got a a great blowout for $* as a walk-in. The staff was pleasant, prompt, and helpful. I flew into BWI and took the metro to Braddock metro and paid $* to get to the hotel. On the way back, the shuttle dropped me off at the metro to get back to BWI. It was very easy.

The photos interested me. The hotel itself did not dissapoint. The rooms were clean, staff friendly and the food (room service) was good. The location was convenient to eateries, coffee shops, Whole Foods, etc. The theme and decor was funky and different. On the negative side the wireless internet service was too slow so, I used my own card.

We stayed at this hotel on Thanksgiving weekend. We opted not to take our pet, but found them to be very pet friendly. The pool was very nice, with lifeguard on duty. Our suite was very comfortable, the mattress was a delight. I made the stupid mistake of leaving my solid gold earrings on the side table, and they were promptly mailed to me by housekeeping staff. This is a great hotel. Take a trip down to King street and stroll among the great little shops! Also check out the music at the Birchmere, also close by.

Yes, it's a suite, because it has two rooms, but the two together make up a space no larger than your average hotel room. It felt crowded, awkward and a bit cheap. A very comfortable bed was the saving grace. The lobby was a mess, and the staff cheery but amateur. Not a real winner, but given its proximity to National Airport, okay if the price is right.
