As with all Super 8s, you get just the basics here. My room was clean and basically comfortable. Convenient location, not far off I -40 on the east side of Flagstaff. And yes, there is frequent train traffic on the main line of the BNSF railroad across the street (as seems to be true for most Flagstaff hotels). After a while, you won't pay much attention as it becomes just background noise, especially if your air/heater unit is on.

Thanks for asking. I chalked it up, ""For get it"". Room #101 was beautiful with lots of excessaries and very clean. When time for evening shower the water was not hot, just very luke warm, so I thought many were using it so I'll wait until morning. So early morning I turned on the water and nothing but ICE cold. So I called the desk to ask why no hot water. She informed me that the hot water heater had burned out. Now that is understandable and oppogized with an offer of going next door to another motel building for to shower, OR she said we could offer me a ten dollar discount at check out and would tell the manager so I opted to accept the refund. So when I checked out the now manager at the desk said they could not refund that ten dollars because I had got on line with a online travel agency and you got paid from my credit card and so they could not refund as the early desk clerk had offered. I was told if I had got on line directly with this motel supper 8 and paid them they could refund me. Then I was told I would have to go to the online travel agency to get my refund. So I thought that was going to be a hassel and just for get it with a bad experience. If they was not going to be able to refund me there yhey should not of made that offer. So this is not a complaint but a matter of fact. So this leads me to go directly to the motel itself on line. Thank you again for your checking back with me.

We had decided to try a different place as we usually stay at one particular hotel. We booked a suite at Super 8 online. When we got to the motel they gave us a ""family"" suite instead of a regular suite we requested.. The difference? Two queen beds (as per our request) AND bunkbeds in place of the couch and coffee table. When we asked about it at check in the clerk said ""oh well, just throw your things on the bunk beds""... Not good. Also, the beds were very uncomfortable. We probably got two good hours of sleep that night. Next time, we'll go back to our old favorite.

When we first checked in, the hotel clerk was not rude, but he didn't really seem to care about being helpful. After looking around town a bit, we found gas was averaging $4.06 and was cheaper a few blocks from the hotel in both directions. The room was okay and in a separate buidling from the main building. The laundry facilities, (1 washer/1 dryer) were located in the building where we were staying and only cost $1.00 to operate, but the dryer didn't work so well and with a line for the machines, I was forced to accept damp clothes. It was nice that the restuarant gave a 10% discount to guest at the hotel and the food was good. The breakfast was muffins and coffee, so we went out for breakfast. We were a bit irritated that when we came back from breakfast, the maids had already stirpped our beds, putting the pillows and comforters off to the side and begun cleaning the room, even though check-out wasn't until 11am and we returned to the room before 10am. Add on almost $20 in taxes and surcharges, including an "energy fee" and the stay was deifinitely not worth it.

We arrived after dark just to crash in a suite. I found the room we had to be big enough for us which was nice, however, there was a lot of noise of hearing the people in the hall and a nearby train that went by every 20 minutes (which only affected me, no one else I traveled with). Overall, for the money and the great customer service, I would return.
