  Stayed in same room w/ elderly parent and was pleased w/ helpful staff, clean room/bath, comfortable beds and nice continental breakfast. Luckily my parent is ambulatory and was able to use stairs for our room on 2nd floor. No elevator. Price for multiple-day stay was good! Location was ideal for seeing relatives in town, and also close to shopping and dining out. This is the hotel we will stay at when we return to Wichita later this year.

  I've stayed at a lot of budget motels in my day, including one in Europe in which the toilet was a hole in the ground. This one ranks among the top three worst places I've stayed. The beds were horrible -- the bottom sheet didn't cover the mattress, so we slid around on the bed all night. My kids ended up on top of the bare mattress by morning -- gross. I didn't sleep all night for having to arrange the sheet every time I turned over. When we complained to the front desk, we were met with an indifferent clerk and her indifferent manager who couldn't be bothered to apologize for our discomfort. When I asked that she request housekeeping to secure the sheets somehow, at least tuck them in completely, she just stared at me. And we were next to a stairwell, and the ceiling literally shook every time someone passed by. Horrible.

  Overpowering scent of room freshener (to cover up what, I wonder?) caused me to open window but noise from A.C. unit below and highway was a problem. Room was small, adequate as an overnight stopover but would not recommend otherwise. No restaurants within a safe walking distance.

  Front desk employees were most helpful and friendly. Plenty of clean linens and the beds were fine, so we were happy. Smoke smell from other rooms invaded our space a couple of times, and I'm sensitive to it. Would recommend this hotel to folks who want a basic place to stay.
