The room was actually not bad, but the carpets needed some serious cleaning. It smelled mustier than the dry air of Tucson would support. The bedspreads looked like they had not been cleaned in a long time, but the wireless was just fine and some local competitors wanted over $*** for a room and then charged for parking and internet and I did not have that kind of money. Aired out and cleaned, I would be back for sure.

The room was broken and dirty, terrible air conditioning. The carpet was torn and bare. The window had no screen and we could hear people in the parking lot behind the hotel yelling and cursing at night. Never saw an ice machine. It is located in the WORST part of town, if you have kids DO NOT stay here. We left our car at a resturaunt down the street because it was safer there then the hotel parking lot. At the end of the trip, they refused to give us a reciept or even tell me how much was charged to my account because it was "confidental". We not only won't go back to tucson if at all avoidable, but we will never stay here again.

Nothing fancy, just clean and inexpensive. The staff is somewhat indifferent, so what.
If your needs tend to be opulent and grand, go elsewhere.
I'll be back when in Tucson.
I left a very expensive piece of equipment in the room and when I called, the staff had found it. What did impress me was the fact that I had to fax information about the person who would be picking up the item before they would release it to that person. -

Because of the yearly gem convention, and scarcity of available rooms city wide, I had no option but to accept a smoking room which I was informed of before hand. The problem was the room didn't smell of smoke, but rather it was very musty. I realized that the musty smell had transferred to my business and casual clothing. When out on business I smelled like I had taken my clothes out of the laundry hamper. Because of the age of the facilities, I can't imagine that this problem was isolated to just my room. I won't stay there again.

The property is now called Rodeway Inn. The rooms were clean with microwave and refrigerator which is a big plus when your traveling with kids. The pool was sparkling and good to get the kids tired and into bed. The motel has been renovated recently from the looks of it. I will stay here again when in Tucson.
