My wife and I stayed in this ""hotel"" (more like a motel) for two night and I dreaded every night of it. The rooms were disgustingly dirty, the room looked as if it had not been vacuumed the sheets had hair on them that was definitely not ours, since we had just checked it and whole place smelled like old cigarettes. I know the price may be tempting but I would highly encourage you to pay a bit more for a nicer hotel and not have to be disappointed like we were.

This hotel is run down and not a good value. The bathroom door wouldn't even open without hitting the toilet. The continental breakfast was bagels and OJ. Try La Quinta, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

accomodations poor, staff attitude terrible, especially considering the cost. Expected much more. On day of arrival was assigned a room which had a water problem. Floor was wet near a/c area. When this was brought to the ass't managers attention (M S) and I requested another room his immediate response was that was not possible as the hotel was booked. He indicated that we'd have to stay in that room or go elsewhere, without even checking the computer for availablity. The housekeeper, luckily intervened and was able to find us another room to the dissatisfaction of the ass't manager. Nothing by way of activities near this location. Trip to the beach was expensive ($32 one way by cab) and pool was only activity for the kids. No arcade, no fitness center. Being near the airport & port of Miami and having free shuttle service to both was only saving grace. Note when returning from our cruise, there was no free return shuttle to the hotel as I had believed there to be.

This hotel is going down hill. I have stayed here several years ago and it was a nice hotel. I asked for a non smoking room and was checked into a smoking room. When I asked to have it changed the front clerk was not very user friendly. He wanted me to come get the key, move my bags to another floor and the elevator was broken leaving me to walk all the way to the other end of the hall. In the new room the air conditioner was broken. The elevators and stairs were filthy and the security was non existent. This is my last stay at a red Roof Inn ever.
