The Red Roof's recent remodeling is a great improvement, and the price was very good. The problems were annoyances which could be easily remedied by Red Roof. There were no bath towels or wash cloths in the room. I checked in late at night, am a woman and was alone. When I called the front desk I was invited to come out of my room, late at night, and retrieve my own linens from the front desk. Also, most of the hotels offer free Wi-Fi, but this location does not. I paid * for a 24-hour T-mobile hot spot pass which only worked for 30 minutes. That was followed by a 45-minute phone call to T-mobile in order to get a refund. I spent the rest of my time there unable to connect on their network or being disconnected. Everywhere else I have stayed in the past few years offers a breakfast, even if it is just donuts. The Red Roof only has coffee, and no real cream or milk, just the powder stuff. I was disappointed and aggravated. Saving a few dollars was just not worth the annoyance.

Booked 1 night because it was close to airport. Non smoking room reeked of tobacco. No drinking glasses and the ice bucket had hair in it with no liner. Not enough bath towels & wash cloths. Had to go down to lobby to get towels & glasses because there was not enough staff. The worst was when my Daughter went to use the rest room and there was urine splatter all over the tolite seat. Needless to say she was ready to go then. Spider webs all over the room. Could go on but this is enough. This was truly the barest room we have ever seen. The bright side is that the morning manager did not charge for the room and said she would look into the problem. This is my first and last visit to a Red Roof Inn!!

I was surprised by the size and amenities in the room - full desk; large TV; refrigerator; microwave. I was traveling alone to attend a family funeral, and I felt safe and secure here. The location was great for me. The housekeeping leaves some to be desired - no major issues, but enough little ones to be frustrating - no bath towels in the room when I checked in (and I had to go back downstairs to get my own); layer of dust on top of TV; housekeeping obviously did not clean the bathroom nor mop it while servicing my room during my stay; and housekeeping took it upon themselves to take back my extra towels and throw away a plastic bag I was saving when they serviced my room. Like I said, these were minor things. Overall, this motel was a pleasant surprise and a great value.

Rode to Jacksonville with my son who was transfering to JAX. Room was clean and comfortable. Located close to the airport so I didn't need my son to leave the base to drive me to the airport. Love Red Roof Inns.

Nice clean room for a great price. Staff were great. The hotel clerk gave me a ride to the airport when my taxi cab ride didn't show up to take me to my early am flight out of JAX.
I will stay here again.
