I got a two-bedroom suite. It is quiet and spacious, but the bathroom is small (shower/tub combination and toilet). The bathroom vanity is outside the door. I was there for 3 nights and while the staff did the beds, they didn't change the sheets (I looked for a sign to let them know I wanted the sheets changed on the second day, but found nothing), and shampoo, conditioner etc were sparse. I asked for more when I was about to be out and they did give me plenty. The daily buffet is a nice feature, but could benefit for more variety. The staff is generally nice and helpful. In all, my stay was enjoyable.

Chicago's Magnificant Mile is truly magnificant. However, this hotel is a little far for families with young children (6 and under). Its a six block walk to the subway/elevated trains which takes a long time with small children. The buses are close by, but, for some reason, I feel buses are more difficult than subways with little ones. There was an issue with our itinerary. We booked a Shedd Aquarium package with Travel online and the front desk did want to give us the complementary tickets that Travel online claimed were included with the package. After a little insistance that the hotel give me the tickets, we received our two free tickets (about a $50 value). The front desk clerk claimed because we paid Travel online, there was no way for them to get there money. Not my problem how Travel online pays the hotel, we clearly booked a Shedd Aquariium package that included two VIP adult passes to the attraction. Overall, the stay was nice, the neighborhood is clean, quiet, and safe. A big plus for our kids was the short walk to the beach (just 2 blocks). I would however, stay closer to a tran stop next time or bring a car.

I was a little worried when I booked this hotel. The location seemed prime, so the price concerned me. Luckily, I was pleasantly suprised. The hotel was wonderful!!! We had a one bedroom suite, so we had a lot of space. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower was great. (I hate those scrawney hotel showers). The only draw back was the crowd at breakfast...there are a lot of rooms at the hotel and maybe just not enough space for everyone to eat. But considering it's included, it was OK.

We had a wonderful stay here. Our room on the 16th floor was quiet, clean, and nicely decorated. This was our first trip to Chicago, so we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The location was excellent - we walked almost everywhere we wanted to go, and took the bus that was located close by on Michigan Ave. when we needed to travel a little farther. The staff at the front desk was amazing, and treated us like royalty. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Having the kitchen in the room was a lifesaver with two small children - we were able to keep cold drinks and healthy snacks on hand at all times. We'll definitely be back!

I've stayed before at the Westin, which is a block away and $$$$ more and will definitely come back here instead. So many more perks. To save money, there's a huge complimentary breakfast, and on Mon & Wed they have ""happy hour"" which serves cheap beer and wine and appetizers as big as a meal. Every room has a contemporary kitchenette so what you can't eat you can save & prepare again in your room. Other reviews may say this is a cheap hotel but I say otherwise. Chicago is already expensive so why not save your $$ by staying here and spend it on shopping! (American Girl is a block away...) My only complaint was the room was on the warm side and toiletries were limited.
