This room was exactly what I needed for our family of 5 - which included a teenager, 7 and 9 year olds. We stayed in ina bi-level suite which was very roomy, very clean and very nice. The room had a fully equiped kitchen, kingsize master bedroom with its own bathroom, and a fireplace in the livingroom with a full size sleeper sofa. The upstairs loft consisted of a double bed and another bathroom. The full breakfast bar had a little of everything, which was delicious. The pool is heated. For our future family stays in San Diego, we are booking at this hotel. The location is so convenient - close to EVERYTHING!

Came for anniversary for week.First morning woken up by housekeeping at door asking if we wanted service. Our no service sign was up. Bed was hard as a rock made our backs hurt bad.Took a shower and rubed my face on their towel and got a rash on my face and an allergy attack that requied a trip to store for med. and towels After 2 days we sleep on the sofa bed.I went to put it away and got cut badly on a staple that was poking out. After a couple days we got a note on the door saying that they had to service the room even if you dont want them to and they might just come in anytime to check on your wellfare. After contacting the front desk in person they assured us our cat would not get let out by someone entering the room and we should no longer be bothered as were okay. The next day we recived a call on our phone saying we had to make plans for cleaning and another note on our door, again talked to front desk and told everything okay and our cat is safe no one coming in.These notes and calls made us fearful our cat could be let out and people could come when ever wheater your there or not. Couldnt go to any places planed cause of worry.Had brought dvd player couldnt hook it up in living tv no tv hookups.Got a room with fire place and there wasnt firelogs some nights.I checked windows to make sure they were closed and cat couldnt get out I slightly pushed on and it poped open. cranks didnt work to close it. Was able to open window next to it and push it closed and lock it.

11/15/2006Loved location and stocked kitchen...eased traveling with toddler and having leisurely breakfasts. included breakfast was hot and excellent. unfortunately, nightly calls to the third party internet troubleshooters were required. ...
Loved location and stocked kitchen...eased traveling with toddler and having leisurely breakfasts. Included breakfast was hot and excellent. Unfortunately, nightly calls to the third party internet troubleshooters were required. VERY time-consuming and irritating--too much like work! Also, heavy machinery operation in suite over ours at 8 AM (this is vacation!) for renovations...and the pool was also unavailable, but no one mentioned that when we booked. It sounds a bit awful, but the staff was kind, apologetic and accommodating. Would stay here again, but not before asking questions!

04/19/2006Only about 15 minutes from the zoo and sea world. lots of restaurants nearby, and a continental breakfast included. we booked early and got a great rate.
