It was adequate, but not the 4 star hotel they advertise themselves to be. Paint in the room was shoddy, wall paper just slightly peeling in 2 places, one lamp was broken, and the shower head had a sideways leak that made the water spray up to the ceiling and drip back down again. The water temperature was only just adequate to take a shower; in no way could it have been described a hot shower. Room service was very good and in fact much better than the service in the restaurant. Service in the main restaurant was good, but the waitress never came by to see if I needed any coffee or anything, I waited 15 minutes after i finished eating to get my check. Went to the the seating hostess, she tracked down my waitress because she could not ring me out without a bill, then the waitress had to go to the front desk to get change because she could not break my 20 dollar bill. And while I was standing there at the entrance, I noticed that the floor was very sticky and needed to be mopped. Do not spend extra for the executive upgrade for a continental breakfast on the 15th floor. All they served was cold biscuits, cold cereal and coffee- no breakfast meats, no pancakes, no juice even. The bed was very comfortable, but I could half spent a lot less. Was definitely not worth the money. Do not spend money on the valet parking. The city garage they use for the valet parking sits directly attached to the hotel. If you park yourself, you can get your ticket validated and only have to pay $5/day as opposed to $20/for valet parking.

Business travellers who get to expense their charges will enjoy this hotel due to its proximity to business related locations. Regular travellers who have to foot their own bill should look elsewhere. Cons: The rooms were dusty, the fridge was broken, no free parking, no breakfast. Pros: Close to pedestrian bridge and state capital.
