Over the past 2 years I have stayed at this hotel twice and eaten in the upscale restuarant 3 times. This Hilton is not what you would expect for the price nor in comparison to other Hilton Hotels. The rooms are old and badly need renovation. The upscale steakhouse resturant is definetely not worth the price.
I would not recommend this hotel as there are plenty of other hotels which are much cheaper and have nicer rooms in Albuquerque. -

I read several reviews saying this hotel was bad, however, after staying there I really think it's a decent place... There were a couple of problems w/ the room, mainly the A/C wasn't that adjustable... so it was either full blast or not at all... not a big deal though... the hotel was a little old, but well maintained and they are under construction but we didn't even notice. I would suggest requesting a room in the tower as the cabanas didn't look as nice or very secure. The location was awesome and very close to everything we were doing. While there I wouldn't suggest the restaurant 'the cooperage' or something like that. It was awful and a waste of money and time. Note this is not the place for a snobby "I want everything brand new and perfect type" but more for people looking for a nice place on the cheap.

rooms unkept. furnishings damaged. dirty cups for coffee.
neighborhood is marginal at best.

AWFUL!
11/21/2006Do not stay there, the rooms in the ""cabana"" area are disgusting! there was mold and/or water stains on the ceiling, the furniture is falling apart, the entire floor ...
Do not stay there, the rooms in the ""cabana"" area are disgusting! there was mold and/or water stains on the ceiling, the furniture is falling apart, the entire floor smelled terrible. Picture bad 1960's decor!
