Walking distance to Threadgills Historic Restaurant. Staff was wonderful. Hotel was very clean. Wonderful chef and assistant cooking made to order breakfast. Did not care for the VIP in black tahoe parking in handicap slot at front door of hotel during our entire stay. Never saw handicap sticker. Totally rude. I doubt that this was the hotels fault. Snobs are snobs no matter what. I have handicap designation and was unable to park at front door in 15min parking. Seems I did not have enough money or status to park 24/7 in handicap slot that was suppose to be for short term parking. There was also a porsche parking there.

Excellent location, walking distance to SoCo for shopping and dining, to the Warehouse and 6th street districts for evening entertainment; located practically on top of the bat colony, which is worth 45 minutes of time. Hotel is quiet and clean, well-appointed, beds comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Wireless has a charge, but lobby computers are great for e-mail, directions, etc.

Check-in was painless, front desk personel were friendly, and our room was well prepared when we arrived. Self parking for $8/day (charged to your bill) on the 3rd level in the adjacent parking garage was very convenient; no attendant/gate was present, so traveling in and out to see the city whenever and as many times as we wanted was very easy. Made to order breakfast was nice, but somewhat crowded at 9am (go earlier) and many choices were available. Our water pressure was very strong and the hot water was a quick draw and stayed constant. Our bed was very comfortable and the view of downtown Austin was beautiful. We slept very well, very quiet at night since we are about 7 blocks from 6th St. The location is also close to everything and within a 5-10 min walk to SoCo district. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here the next time we visit Austin!

Covenient proximity to downtown combined with an all-suite style enables this hotel to accomodate parties with ease. We had 13 guys with three rooms in town for a bachelor party, and this hotel was the best deal for us... The suites fit plenty of people and the free Happy hour is a must to start any party!

This was one of the best hotels my family and I have stayed in. The staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable. We had an awesome view of downtown in our suite. Only con is that there were no pamphlets in the lobby with things to do in Austin. Other than that, it was a perfect vacation!
