  I booked this hotel looking for something inexpensive and relatively convenient. The extraordinarily low price ($*) made me suspicious, but I figured I could always move. I was pleasantly surprised. Now, this isn't a fancy place, but it's pretty much what I would expect from a Days, Hampton, LaQ, or Quality Inn, at a price far lower than one would get at those (nearby) places. Clean, quiet, comfortable. My room had a larger desk than usual, and the wifi was strong, rock solid, and with good speed. There is construction out front on I-10 that results in the frontage road being reduced to one lane, but that turned out not to be an inconvenience, even at rush hour.
  
  Now, there is no bathtub, iron, or hair dryer, but there is an in-room coffee maker and a good continental breakfast. No HBO either, but otherwise a good channel lineup.

  There are no obvious signs that the rooms were ""renovated"" except for a sloppy paint job over a moldy bathroom ceiling and several layers of caulk around the miniature tub. ...

  There are no obvious signs that the rooms were ""renovated"" except for a sloppy paint job over a moldy bathroom ceiling and several layers of caulk around the miniature tub. Mold problem (listed in another review) is probably the result of no exhaust fan. I went to Target and bought flip-flops to wear in the icky shower. Only ""renovation"" is the MAJOR construction of the I-10 Freeway right in front of the hotel. The staff was pleasant. The AC stopped in the middle of our 1st night and they fixed it promptly, but I'll spend the extra $ to go elsewhere next time.

  The hotel is ok, concerning about what you paid for all these free services: breakfast, internet access, parking, newspaper. the lady who prepares the breakfast is nice, the frontdesk people ...

  The hotel is OK, concerning about what you paid for all these free services: breakfast, internet access, parking, newspaper. The lady who prepares the breakfast is nice, the frontdesk people is nice and helpful. It is excellent that you can watch TV, or read newspaper when you have your breakfast, with drinking and coffee. which make you feeling good for whole day.

  We had to switch rooms because the mold was so bad in the bathroom. they are in the middle of rennovation, but was unaware of the problem beforehand.
