We checked in @ 1200 AM --- were getting a good deal on a king (NON-SMOKING) room. Front desk clerk was very nice and welcoming, offered to make a pot of coffee for us. Went to room, wife turned back the bed spread and found a large blood splatter on the upper portion. Sheets were dirty, had sweat stains and some other stains. Room smelled like a smoking room. Comforter also had cigarette burn holes in it. Toilet seat had cigarette ashes on it. Bugs crawling on lamp and curtains. Given another room by clerk only to find more dirty sheets and pillows. Checked out of the hotel @ 1230AM. Drove two hours to outside of Chattanooga, TN and stayed at a Super 8 - King bed / smoking room (smelled better than our non-smoking room). Desk clerk was very friendly, but acted as if it wasnt a big deal. No more Days Inns for us.
