I have to say that this being my first trip to San Diego the location of this hotel is the best and the courtesy of the shuttle driver's are by far resort quality freindly, helpful and on time! You do not need to rent a car if your staying at this hotel and they have a schedual posted to all the great spots although its an easy city to walk around in we only used the shuttle for the zoo and the airport Now for the hotel I stayed in the back tower 12th floor facing the city many trains travel through the city at all times of the day and night 1 block away from the hotel, Then comes the guests on both friday and saturday night I was awakend 3 to 4 times a night (I am a sound sleeper)by loud screaming, yelling, doors slamming people on the balcony which is within inches of my rooms balcony yelling ,drinking at 2am ,I called security many times and it worked for a few minnutes only to start up on the floor above us! around 4 am they came back down to our floor and in the next room on the balcony I stepped out onto my balcony and they were 1 foot away from mine I asked them to please be quiet They ignored me I called security yet again!! but by the time they got back up to our floor they had moved somewhere else as someone kicked our door on the way down the hall When checking out the next day I asked the clerk if she was told and filled her in on the last 2 nights she said no and moved to the bill, No Im sorry No NOTHING!

It was conveniently located with a friendly and courteous staff. We were within walking distance (about 1 mile) of the Seaport Village, Harbor and the shopping mall. The free shuttle to the airport and San Diego Zoo was a bonus that we didn't expect but really appreciated.

It is well worth a few extra dollars for the bay view rooms. The view was amazing, both day and night. Location was good. Right across street from cruise ships, the Midway aircraft carrier and the harbor and whale cruise boats. A little walk to the Seaport Village and Gas Lamp district but it was very pretty and a good way to get in a little sightseeing. Can catch Trolley just a couple of blocks away. Rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable. Restaurant had a great breakfast for less than $10. Bar was hopping. Desk staff was friendly, concierge was a little indifferent but not rude. Only one computer to use for looking up restaurants, attractions or to get directions. Lack of whirlpool was disappointing. Overall a great place to stay and would certainly stay again.

Overall we had a good stay, the rooms were clean, tidy and the beds comfortable. It was great to walk out the door and be right on the water, the proximity to the airport was great and it was only a ten minute ride to the MCRD. The staff were helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed the attatched pub, The only drawback was the trains, they woke us up every night!!! I would have to rethink staying again, maybe a room closer to the front would help.
