Overall experience was great. Location is perfect, a short walk from the mall. Also, convenient metro stop in lower level. 4 miles from Reagan National as well. Food was excellent in the restaurant as well as great service. Will certainly plan on staying again in the future. Great location if you have limited time in DC. Only negative is that the pool is currently closed due to renovation.

I stayed here during spring break in April 2009. EXCELLENT location and room. Very close to all museums and sights. We ate almost every night at the hotel restaurant-food is SUPERB, great breakfast buffet for kids. Underground shopping and access to subway. Will definately stay here whenever in D.C.

As a single parent travelling with an 11 yr old son, this hotel was in an excellant location close to the museums and sights. The food in the hotel was excellent, even my son commented on how good it was. We tried a few of the restaurants away from the hotel, but ended up going back to the hotel to eat. A really nice breakfast buffet. The pool was nice after walking around all day as were the gym facilities. We also utilized the sightseeing bus which picks you up right outside the hotel. Very conveinent when arriving back at night. And the underground shopping arcade was nice, as well as access to the trains. I do not understand some of the negative comments, it is a very classy hotel, older but quaint for its' style and age. We will most definately stay here again when visiting D.C.

Everything about this hotel was great. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. There were not any restaurants in the area, but the food at the hotel restaurant was excellent. It was above one of the Metro stops which was so convenient. Very well located to all things in dowtown. Most trips we only had to go 2 or 3 stops. Should I go to Washington Dc again I would not hesitate staying there.
