We booked this hotel online because it looked nice. When we opened our door the room was just like the pic online. I loved that we had a balcony and it over looked the neighborhood. It was also nice that a supermarket was right across the street so that we could grab some late night snacks and there is a fridge in the room. We loved the hotel the staff was nice. The only down fall I thought was it was silly that we had to pay to park when we could have just parked the car ourself. There was no need for Valet.

The hotel is really old and it shows in the guest rooms. The lobby and facilities look totally renovated, but that failed to translate in the guest rooms. Our particular room looked like a Victoria's Secret changing room with the pink and white striped wallpaper. If you have the mindset like me, where your hotel is a place for you to sleep, shower and keep your things safe, then stay here. But definitely shop around for better deals. Hotel staff was very friendly and the location is on the outer skirts of Bev Hills and close to all the stated neighborhoods. The hotel parking is NOT free, only if you park on the street (good luck finding a spot), so you have to valet it for $26 a day!! On our last day, we received the bill for parking and they only charged us for one day of parking so only $26, but Travelocity shouldn't state there is free hotel parking. If I had known that, I would have stayed elsewhere.

Just returned from a week's stay at the Tower, and was extremely disappointed that I chose to stay at this hotel. I found the staff at the front desk not only surly, but not up to speed on any activities or excursions that we inquired about. Poorly managed, and it shows. Room overlooked a parking lot, which was quite noisy, especially since they were filming a movie. Could hardly get through Lobby and elevator due to equipment everywhere - not what I had in mind as a paying customer. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

littel things need attention

for a reasonably sized hotel in LA, this one closes up at night. bar closed about 10 both nights. got back from dinner and could not get a drink.
poor maid service. second morning had no coffee to make and when i checked the coffee maker had cold coffee left from day before and the drip bag was still in the unit.
asked for a wakeup call, and it never happened.
two clerks at front desk were much more interested talking with each other about a football game than taking care of guests
