Dirty room, extremely dirty bathroom, rude & uncooperative staff. what more do you need to know? poor value for the money.

There are good Red Roofs and not so good. This is one to avoid. Unless, of course, you enjoy the ambiance of a place where you pull into the parking lot and the first thing you see is a person coming out of one of the rooms and screaming into a cell phone. Then you find your way to a tiny office, optimistically labelled ""lobby,"" where a sullen employee tells you no, you can't have a first floor room even tho you need handicapped access and have phoned earlier to ask for one, because the first floor rooms have to be kept open for some kind of Red Roof Repeat visitors club. Oh, pardon me, those must be the very hearty truckers lurching around the parking lot. Turns out lots of visitors need the 1st floor rooms because they're too inebriated to make it to the 2d floor, judging by the noise overnight in the parking lot and the trash strewn around each morning. I eventually was given an accessible room on the 1st level, only after telling the clerk I wouldn't be staying. The room was ok; the bathroom was equipped for handicap access, but everything was badly worn and extremely dirty, and grab bars were pulled part way out of the walls. When I say it was dirty, I'm talking about ingrained dirt in the bathroom tile. The carpet looked like it had never been vacuumed, there was hair in the sink, and while there were plenty of towels, they were damp. One of the few things this place has going for it is the location, close to restaurants, and with a McDonalds right next to it, which was convenient for breakfast. I would never stay there again, or recommend it to anyone.
