  I booked this hotel without reading the reviews. Needless to say we were a bit apprehensive after reading several negative reviews, after the fact,as we ventured to Peoria and our motel. What a surprise to find a "great" room, well maintained and furnished with a big king sized bed. We have paid alot more money than we did at the Red Roof Inn for far less quality accomodations. We would highly recommend this motel based on our stay.

  Staff was not helpful at all. said they were unable to cancel reservations. and unable to move us. reservations were made for first floor handicap. when we get there both ...

  STAFF WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO CANCEL RESERVATIONS. AND UNABLE TO MOVE US. RESERVATIONS WERE MADE FOR FIRST FLOOR HANDICAP. WHEN WE GET THERE BOTH ROOMS ARE ON SECOND FLOOR. THE MISTER WALKS WITH A WALKER AND IS UNABLE TO DO STAIRS. I AM NOW TOLD THEY WERE FULL AND UNABLE TO MOVE US. HOWEVER, WHILE I WAS STANDING THERE A GENTLEMAN CAME IN AND ASKED FOR A ROOM AND WAS PUT ON THE FIRST FLOOR. DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. EVEN IF THERE WERE NO KING SIZE AVAILABLE. THE CLERK COULD HAVE APOLOGIZED, AND SAID WE HAVEN'T A KING SIZE ON THE FIRST FLOOR, WOULD 2 DOUBLE BED BE OK. WE WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE CHANGE. THE STAFF WAS NOT WILLING TO WORK WITH US OR CANCEL OUR RESERVATIONS. WE COULD NOT STAY THERE AND HAD TO GET ROOMS ELSEWHERE. WE ARE STILL BEING CHARGED FOR ROOMS WE DID NOT USE. WILL NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS AT RED ROOF INN AGAIN.

  We called several times more to try and find an anchor store or street near the location and same young didn't know what we were talking about. We had planned to get dressed at the hotel, but were forced to go directly to our event as we were running late from all the running around, so we ended-up checking in after the event at around 12:30am When I entered the lobby;, I pushed the button for service ;as the sign on the wall instructed; and was promptly yelled at by a woman who said that people were trying to rest and I shouldn't push the button so long. I asked her if 3 seconds was too long and she became quite agitated and told me I should know how to push a button and that I needed some sense. If I hadn't already paid for the room online, I would have left immediately and found another place to stay, even at 12:30am. I will NEVER stay at that hotel again.

  A friend and I stayed at the hotel a few months ago as we were in the area to visit my relatives. This was definitely the best deal for an overnight stay! Granted, it doesn't have a pool or fitness center, but for just a place to sleep this was perfect. The room and lobby were clean, the staff was friendly, and I loved the convenience of being able to enter my room right from my car! Also, we ordered from a local pizza place and delivery was fast and reliable. The only issue I had was actually finding the hotel in the first place. Since it's located on a side road, it took me forever to find the road that actually led to the parking lot. Still, this hotel proved to be affordable and convenient and I'd recommend it!

  I was a little concerned with comments from other travelers and the locals but I was pleasantly surprised.
  
  The hotel was older however the rooms were comfortable, clean and updated furnishings. Check-in and out was easy and quick and all the staff was friendly, courteous and accomendating
  
  There were few eminities but then we didn't need them and we didn't pay for them either.
  
  I would recommend The Red Rood Inn Peoria.
