Terrible experience with this hotel

We'd arrived at about 4pm to check-in. We were told there were no clean rooms available and that there were people waiting in front of us. The clerk's (only one working) plan was to temporarily put each group in one clean room so that we can drop off our luggages and we will get the rest of our rooms as they become available. Sounded like a workable plan even though it was late in the afternoon. We were checked in to our first room shortly after 5:30pm. I can understand having to wait a little when the hotel is busy but an hour and a half is ridiculous. In addtion, I was getting frustrated that the one working clerk kept dealing with people arriving after us and sending them off. After dropping off our luggages, we went to get dinner. After returning from our meal, we were told that there were no more non-smoking rooms. We (a pregnant women and a child in our group) would have to settle for a smoking room. It was after 9pm and I did not want to hunt for a different hotel. We were compensated $50 for our $100+ meal. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this hotel the next time we cruise out of Miami. Upon reflection, I can forgive the long wait because things like that happen from time to time, but giving away our reserved non-smoking room because we went to dinner instead of waiting around the hotel is just not acceptable. I wonder if were were treated not as well because we booked for a lesser price through a online travel website.

Ijust taued four days in thehotel it has a lot of advantages it is near malls, places to eat, near the airport and it is good for the price you pay. Breakfast is complimentary also internet.

Unfriendly
02/03/2008The front desk staff was not friendly and bordered on extremely rude. no greeting, smile or "have a nice day". the room did not smell very good and the bathroom ...
The front desk staff was not friendly and bordered on extremely rude. No greeting, smile or "have a nice day". The room did not smell very good and the bathroom smelled like the toilet was about to back up. The only places to eat, within walking distance, are fast food. I would not stay here again.

Was in town to look for apartments, so I had to travel all over miami. The hotel was close to lots of highways that I had to jump on to get to different places, there are lots of food places to go to. The staff was courteous and understanding when they came to clean room if you weren't ready. Great room..good stay for your money.
