We stayed at this hotel when we went to drop off our son at USF for the fall term. What a great place! The front desk staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They treat you like you matter. We have had this kind of service at much more expensive hotels but this is amazing for the price of the room. There was something wrong with the bathroom door and we mentioned it and it was fixed right away! We are so pleased with this property that we won't even look for another place when we go back to visit our son. This is definitely where we will stay. It is clean, friendly, caring, great service, wonderful staff.

We were here to help our daughter move to the USF area. The location worked well for us and was very close to anyone visiting USF or Bush Gardens. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was very minimal and I didn't like the fact that coffee was only available during breakfast. I don't use in-room coffee service. My biggest issue was that this hotel allows pets. Even though we have 2 dogs at home, I didn't appreciate the dog that was across the hotel barking all the time. I never stayed in a hotel that allowed pets before and I won't again.

We arrived at the hotel to find that we were placed in a smoking room, which I did not request. The room was quite stale. I called the front desk to request another room, but the only available nonsmoking rooms were king, and I needed two doubles. I was not thrilled, but these things happen.
More notably, I booked this hotel due to the heated pool mentioned in the description, which turned out not to be heated. In addition, the spa heater was broken although the spa was filled and appeared operational until you entered it. The front desk clerk offered a free movie after I commented on the pool and spa, which I certainly appreciated as the kids were disappointed about the pool; however, I picked up the bill in the morning only to find that I had been charged for the movie resulting in another visit to the front desk.
The location of the hotel is great for Busch Gardens, but I was overall very disappointed after the price I paid for one night at this hotel. -

Where do I begin....My wife. 2 children and I decided to take a vacation to Florida. After looking at the various hotels in the Tampa area I decided to book this hotel because of location and value. We arrived late on Sunday night, about 10:30pm. We were all exhusted. We checked in, which went smoothly but when we opened the door to our room and turned th lights on it was occupied by another family. Needless to say the other family was initially scared and their children was woke up frightened. My family went back to the front desk with our bags. Another room was assigned to us. The person at the front desk did not apologize and seemed a little clueless. The are conditioner sounded like a waterfall and it was difficult to sleep. The next morning I spoke to the manager and he asked the maintance person to fix the air conditioner. That night it sounded better but the noise came back the following night. On Tues. after a full day a Disney we arrived back to our room and our room was not touched. We did not have clean towels and our bed was not made. I called the front desk and she said to come down and she would give me towels. Again, no apologys. In fact the front desk person Toni went on to say she was tired and had a long day. Then she gave me pretzels and water, along with the towels saying "that is what our elite customers get" so you should now "feel better". As stated the waterfall (air conditioner) was back. I had a number of restless nights because of the noise. Often the continental breakfast ran out of coffee and fruit, waffle machine did not work.

The hotel staff was some of the friendliest I have ever seen. The room was clean, though they were out of shampoo, even at the front desk! Of course I had brought none. The bed was a little stiff in places, and the breakfast they had, although free, was dissapointing. The hotel was very close to Busch Gardens, so it made travel easy. It was an overall decent buy.
